The first Man Date Festival will be happening on April 16 in Toowoomba and Bigwig Jerky Co. is happy to be a part of what should be a great festival for the region.

Man Date Festival is the result of 6 months hard work for Toowoomba resident Dan Graf and combines all things “manly” including BBQ demonstrations, Craft Beer from top Breweries, barbers, music and local vendors.

Mr Graf said Toowoomba was starved of unique events.

“It has been six months in the making and to see the positive response it’s got is refreshing,” he said.

“I can’t wait for it to kick off. I feel these sort of events are mainly focused in Brisbane.

“People are really grasping the idea and they’re really well attended.

“I’m aiming to incorporate that into Toowoomba and hopefully it takes off.”

One feature of the event will be a beard and mustache competition with over $1000 in prizes up for grabs.

The festival will be held on Saturday, April 16 from 11am – 8pm at the Mort Estate Hotel.
