Empire Jerky is a new player in the jerky business with previous ties to now defunct Ironhide Jerky from Brisbane’s North. Whilst they do not have any jerky available to public just yet, their website states they will be opening in November 2018 and “redefining jerky” – whatever that means and will be “Australia’s only truly gourmet jerky”. Not sure how true that is, as there are quite a lot of other jerky companies throughout Australia making quality gourmet jerky using 100% grass fed beef and all natural ingredients (Kooee Snacks, Just Jerky, Bigwig Jerky.. etc)
With 3 flavours on offer to launch with including Jalapeno & Lime, Original and Habanero, we look forward to getting our hands and mouths on some to give them a try – the jalapeno and lime sounds devine.
Based in Brisbane at Bowen Hills, Empire Jerky looks to have invested quite a bit into their initial brand and product development, from their packaging and branding through to their production facility and equipment.
